This Most Common Robot Vacuum Deals Debate Isn't As Black And White As You May Think

Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

This is your time to own a robotic vacuum. CNET's best-rated models will be available for Black Friday and Cyber Monday with discounts as high as 57%.

The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping, with apps-based no-go zones. its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also self-empties itself and automatically refills its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.

The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s smartest robot to date, is the Roomba j7+. Its most notable innovation is its camera-based obstacle-detection technology. It makes use of AI to recognize objects such as charging cords and shoes. It's also the first robot to automatically send you a photo of the object it comes across so that you can tell it to stay clear of it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop we've ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills easily leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. You can schedule cleanings and create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't clean in areas you don't want. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off by speaking to it.

Its design is a step above the competition and features a sleek, top piece that looks more like a toy robotic than a loud, obnoxious one. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System automatically empty which is great for reducing your cleanup time.

In our tests, we found that the j7+ swiftly removed dust, dirt, and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one location instead of scattering it across the floor. It was able to capture sand, small gravel and even a little grit. Most robots could not do this. It did without getting caught up in our pet's hair.

Although it's not as smart as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs The J7+ is an excellent choice for those who need a vac and a mop in their home. It's not costly and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates and it is sometimes difficult to tell if they are functioning until you actually witness them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

When you're looking for a robot vacuum that does more than just clean floors, your most effective option is likely to be hybrid. These machines are equipped with a water tank so they can mop and vacuum at the same time. They also come with a variety of additional features, such as smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance and even the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. They're expensive at full retail but often come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock produces some of our most loved robotic vacuums and the Q5+ doesn't fail to impress. This is the least expensive model of their auto-empty line. Although it might not have some of the more expensive features (like no-go areas and multi-story memories), it's still a great choice if you are willing to make some compromises to save a few bucks.

The Q5+ is remarkably gentle when it comes to obstacles like table legs and walls. This makes it an ideal choice for homes that have lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is a area where many robot vacuums that are less expensive aren't able to meet. The Q5+'s navigation system is also top-quality, with a few misses along walls or in corners.

The Q5+, just like other Roborock products, can be controlled by a few buttons on the device, or via the Roborock App. Through the app, you can start and stop cleaning and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones and modify your home map or change the labeling of rooms.

If you opt for the Q5+ model, it ships with a new auto-empty dock, which was designed specifically to make this robot easy to maintain. It requires a screwdriver for install, but once it's in place, emptying the bin is easy. It also has an impressive LCD display that is great to have when setting up schedules or altering settings. This feature isn't essential for everyone, but it can help to keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever, well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of vacuuming and mopping. Its design and functionality are among the best on the market - but it's also pricey.

It is a relatively small base station that looks beautiful and is able to be concealed when not in use. But the station's biggest selling point is how it automates various tasks and functions that other robots leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot charged and clean.

Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive as well. It's the only robovac I've used that has done an excellent job of removing the dust from floors with no. And it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

However, the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly in terms of navigation. Its LiDAR and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of your home. It also can't climb stairs like other models and isn't equipped with a docking station to create a cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.

Although  self vacuum  doesn't provide as many in terms of cleaning-related options in its app or as many in-app shortcuts as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone seeking a great all-round mop and robot vacuum that's worth the price cost.

But if you want to save some cash, or just don't care about the limitations of this robot there are many alternatives on the market which include a variety of eufy models for considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and offers the same experience in the app, but with additional features such as stairs, a fully-function dock, and better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors and low and high-pile carpets.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy is an Anker company with an established track record of making robot vacuums that offer the perfect combination of features, performance, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning on carpets and hard flooring, and mopping capabilities at a reasonable price. It's easy to set it up, simply connect one of the side brushes and turn it on, then connect the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps required to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock will need to be located close to an outlet that has plenty of space to move.

The G30 is a compact device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, meaning it will fit under most couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. Its design is a little more modest than other models, and features a sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical: Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Clean (which scrubs a space in a spiral pattern for two minutes). It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.

The way the G30 cleans is what differentiates it from its competitors. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of the immovable objects in its path, remembering what it's already cleaned and the areas it's not able to access. When it's time to recharge, it will automatically return to its starting point and begins cleaning where it left off.

The eufy G30 has its flaws, though. The iRobot Roomba 675 is more constructed, has lower recurring costs, is charged more quickly and has the same battery life. It also offers superior performance on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't require as much emptying. It also comes with boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. The G30 is less expensive and easier to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't need to be empty as often, and it has less trouble with bulky materials such as cereal.
